Fumiko Chino, MD, FASCO​ Radiation Oncology​ MD Anderson Cancer Center​ Fumiko Chino, MD FASCO is a cancer researcher and Assistant Professor in Breast Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was a founding lead of the Affordability Working Group at Memorial Sloan Kettering. She is also one of the Directors at the Costs of Care group, a NGO working to improve affordability in healthcare. Her research is focused on patient-centered care including the financial toxicity of cancer care and survivorship, healthcare disparities, equity, and access. She is the recipient of the inaugural 2022 ASCO Excellence in Equity Award.

Amy Barker ​ Supr., Advanced Practice Registered Nurse​ Lymphoma-Myeloma​ MD Anderson Cancer Center​ This presentation explores the concept of time toxicity - the excessive, often invisible demands on patients’ time that contribute to more stress, burnout, and possible reduced adherence to treatment. In the context of cancer care, where patients often navigate complex treatment regimens, frequent appointments, and long wait times, time toxicity emerges as a critical yet underrecognized factor affecting patients' quality of life.
